My DD for RPRF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just to check if i have taken dd correctly i just want to know this information.

I have send DD on feb 9th DD is ICICI BANK DD and its is "Receiver general for canada".
at the bottom of DD there is bank of montreal address.

1) Is this the right thibng i did i just want to cross check.
2) After how many days approximately it is encashed????


As of now every single day is like an year for me since i am waiting for my PP.

After reading this forum only i came to know that i will get receipt for DD.

Y u made it for REceiver General for canada in CAD $, when you can make it in INR payble at Newdelhi in favor of Canadian High Commision.

U should had made it in INR 21440/- payble at New Delhi in favor of CAnadian High Comm

Now that DD will be sent to Canada, There it will get encashed, the info will reach here..... May be some delays.

I have sent a DD of 42880/- Rs favoring CHC, New Delhi for my wife and myself. Are you sure we will get a receipt of the DD encashed coz I had asked my agency and they said it will come along with the Visa only, but my friend told the receipt comes first (which means they have approved your application and are about the stamp the visa in a few days that is when it becomes encashed) and within a couple of days probably 10 days your visa will be stamped too. Anybody who has got their visa, did u guys get the receipt of the DD. Thanks.
