Hi Guys, I have completed my degree(IT) and I had a lot of backlogs. I want to apply for a diploma course eligibility required is 12th or OSSD Equivalency which is completely different from my degree which is VFX my field of interest and I have a work experience of 2+ years and have a good portfolio now want to study professional and get a certificate. my worry is even though I have work experience and have a good portfolio would my visa will be rejected because of my degree and backlogs.

You will have to apply with a strong SOP / Client Information.
1. Explain your passion and why do you want to pursue VFX
2. Explain how your Canadian diploma in VFX will help with your career prospects in your home country.
3. Explain how your current degree will not help with you a VFX career
4. Attach any testimonials, accolades and references for your VFX work.
5. Optionally, Explain why you have backlogs in your degree.

WE have seen rejection based on the backlog, but that doesn't mean there is zero approval for similar case. AS pointed out by other member, make sure you address above issues, and have good SOP to support your application. Best of luck
