Hi all, my brother is US Citizen and I am in India (Married), While apply for Canada PR does this give me extra points?

he is ready to apply Canada PR to himself for the sake of me... I came to know that US citizen doesn't need a PR to work or settle in Canada. Is there any other way my brother can help me
If he gets PR before you and you claim points only 15 points for him. That's it otherwise even being a US president will not help

After he becomes canadian PR you can claim sibling points. But he needs to follow the process, apply for express entry and become PR first.

This is completely incorrect. US citizens cannot simply live and work in Canada - they need to obtain PR just like anyone else. Canada and the US are two completely separate countries.

Having a US citizen brother is of no help when it comes to your Canadian PR application. If your brother wants to become a Canadian PR, he has to go through the same process as anyone else from any other country. There is no special process and no short cuts just because he is American.

If he becomes a Canadian PR, he would need to leave the US and live in Canada in order for you to get points for your PR application.

He might be able to move to Canada on a work permit but that is not enough. He has to go through the pr process like everyone else.

Most importantly, after he gets Canada PR, he has to shift to Canada and provide proof of residence. Only then you can claim points.
