Must my wife's family be included in the application?

My wife has 2 children from a pervioous relationship, a father, and a bunch of sibblings.

Do they all need to be included in the application? None of them intend to go to Canada.

The children do. Parents and siblings are not included in the application, but info about them is asked for in various forms.

you need to add the children and the father and siblings even though they may not intend to ever come to Canada

canadianwoman's reply is correct - "dependent" children (according to CIC's specifications of dependent) are the only ones included as applicants, whether they are coming to Canada or not. They need to be medically examined, and they need to provide criminal clearances if they are over 18 years of age. Parents and siblings info is provided in the Additional Family Info form, but parents and siblings are not eligible to be sponsored, so are not included as "applicants".

I took the question as asked "application" not as "applicant".....i had the same delima
when filling out my husbands application
didn't want to include them in the "application" which was in the Additional Family Info but found that I had no choice but to add them there

bottomline...children have to be added as "applicants"
but yes you also have to add her siblings and father under Additional Family whether they intend to come or not
