Hello Everyone in this excellent Forum,

I am a musician with over 10 years of experience as a Accompanist in my country and I have a Bechelor's Degree in Music (Piano) and a Master's Degree in Music. Is it possible to immigrate to Canada? Can I apply with the Express Entry new system?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,

Butterfly.

Was your experience paid and full-time (30 or hours per week)?

Check out NOC 5133 to see if it matches your experience.

See if you can find any Canadian music group, orchestra that can offer you a job with LMIA (LMIA is kind of a certification from Canadian HR ministry that the job is rare and can not be filled by Canadian talent). If you play a music instrument that is rare it will be easier.

Following jobs are recognized by Canada

All the best

You might be able to apply as a self-employed person (cultural activities). Check this link < www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/business/self-employed/apply-who.asp#definitions >. Hope this helps and goodluck whatever happens..
