Multiple visitor visa applications

Hi folks,

I had applied for a visitor visa for my parents in April 2020 and the application is still under review by IRCC. We did not hear back from IRCC after providing biometrics in September 2020.

We want to apply for supervisa now. Is it possible to have two visitor visa applications at the same time? Or should I be cancelling the previous visitor visa application in favour of the supervisa application as we have lost all hope since it's been more than 2.5 years?

Looking for any guidance/advice.

Yes, applicants were advised - any applications before Sept 7 2021, SHOULD BE re-applied.
Once your new application opens, previous will be automatically cancelled and fees refunded. If you've received any decision on the previous one, then there's no refund.
