If you had a single entry visitor visa and returned to your country of origin before the expiry date which was issued by the immigration officer upon entry, then is it much easier to get a positive response when applying for a multiple visitors visa?

It does work in your favour, however you still need to convince the VO that your intention is only to travel and not to stay for good in Canada.

you still need to prove that you have ties to your country. I heard many cases when people were denied a visa after success with one and even two. but sure that's considered a good plus when you returned back.
