If you apply for a course more than 2 years you can get a multiple entry visa and after the first semester you can change your major and your visa will not be effected. Hope this helps
Change your course.let's say your initial plan is to do a certificate but to get a longer and multiple entry visa you would need to apply for a degree or diploma program and once you are in Canada after the first semester you could change it to certificate program that you have plan earlier.
You must have this "multiple - single entry" thing cleared by now. But one thing is for sure, visa type depends upon the VO. It is mentioned on the CHC website that an applicant might get a "Single Entry or a Multiple Entry" visa. There is no rule of thumb or any specific procedure to make sure that you get a multiple entry visa only.
I agree. Its highly unlikely for somone with a 1yr study program to get a multiple entry visa. But on the other hand its not necessary that one with a 2 year program to always get a multiple entry visa.
