Multiple applications

Hello everyone,
I have multiple applications for pr. I got my ainp in mar 2018 and applied for paperbased federal application. However , I also received an invitation for express entry couple of months later. Now I have two applications in cic. But the timelines had increased a lot . It's been around 8 months since I filed my express entry applications and still got no update from any of the applications. Just wondering is that happening becoz of two applications or there could be some other reason . Any help will be appreciated.

Paper based application and EE are processed separately

Do I need to pull my federal paper based file . Coz it's taking too long for the ee file decision. It's more than 8 months now since I filed my express entry
