Hello,

I am a landed immigrant residing in BC and I am still waiting for initial PR card for my and my partner.

I would like to know if my accompanying partner is now eligible for BC drivers licence. He is holding a Mexican driver's license this moment and wondering if it is mandatory for him to update his drivers licence to BC drivers licence since his status has been changed to PR from international student.

Regarding MSP, both myself and my partner has been holding activated MSP since we have been living in BC for a long time. I understand that SIN number has to be updated once we obtain PR status. but what about MSP?

Please advise. Thanks!

Mexico does not has driver license exchange arrangement with BC. He will have to take a knowledge test and road test to get his BC license.

I don't think you need to provide MSP with the new S.I.N, however you can always phone MSP and ask.
