Hello,
I am a 30 year old Bangladeshi mechanical engineer with no canadian/north american experience.
I got my undergraduate engineering degree in Bangladesh.
How do I get a canadian credential without being considered overqualified for the starting jobs?

I am thinking of going for 3 options...

1. a Ms in Mechanical Engineering
2. a M.Eng in mechanical engineering
3. a Graduate certificate in mechanical engineering.

I am aware of the Engineers Canada regulations and I know that I have to go through the process and find a canadian experience under the mentorship of a professional engineer.

My goal is the find employment in this field under shortest possible of time...

please suggest which of the above mentioned course should I be perusing

Hello Prodip,
You and me are on the same boat.
I am also looking study in Canada in MSc in Electrical & Computer Engineering.
I am 27 year old and i have undergraduate degree in Electronics & telecommunication engineering. I want to purse Master of Science as it has research work because i want to do research in the field of antenna.
Ms is thesis based
M.Eng has no thesis work.
If you want to do research then you should go for MSc otherwise go for MEng or Graduate Certificate

My goal is also same like you just to find work in my field of Antenna after post graduate degree.
Getting admission in technology field is not that easy i think.

It's good to see someone with a similar situation.

One of my friends did MS in mechanical engineering. But he could not get a job. the hr/employers told him that he was simply too overqualified. That is why I am thinking of doing graduate certificate course first and then try to gain some work experience before applying to complete my masters degree.
