MR when the applicant is pregnant

Hello All,

Firstly, I am glad to let you all know that my wife & I are expecting. She is due this August. I am June 2010 applicant(MI1). My current status is " Your application was reviewed and we started processing on April, 2012". I am awaiting my MR for me and my wife(co-applicant).

If I receive the MRs before August, I would not be able to complete the MRs for my wife as she will not be able to undergo a X-ray. I read somewhere that I need to write a letter to CHC explaining to them the situation and ask for an extension. I would like to know from you what I should actually do, if I get the MR before delivery.

I have another question. This is to understand the procedure I need to follow to add a newborn to the application.

You need to wait till new baby is born. If u get MR before delivery, they will ask u to update the forms. That time u can inform them about ur case

If u get MR after Delivery, still u will be requiring time for documentation of baby such as birth certificate, passport,etc

So relax and take it easy

I am hoping that I get MR after the delivery in August. I guess then I need to update the form with the child'sinfo and add him/her to the application. Will that delay the MR proces, do yo have any idea ?

It will not delay bcoz u can complete ur medical in ur timeline and new born can do later after getting his/her MR

Guess I will will be given enough time to complete the medicals for my wife and newborn child.

Thanks for your guidance. Any forums that you would recommend for me to read about the process for getting a passport for an infant.
