I understand, the file no. that u are referring to relates to acknowledgment of the application of ur Canadian connection who is supporting u FOR PNP.

only when his/her eligibility is successfully reviewed , u will get approval letter for submission of ur PR application under PNP. It is case specific nd depends upon various factors as enunciated in the detailed guidelines of MPNP.

I applied in February 2014 and i recently got updates on my file and they interviewed my sponsor.
I think you'll get some news soon, if you haven't already.
