[MPNP] Will I be eligible for EE if my job is NOT on in-demand list?

Hello everyone~

I am an undergraduate student in computer science program at Univerisity of Manitoba.
I will graduate next Spring. I want to find a software developer job but I am not confident whether I will be able to do that.
For the worst, I may find a job that is NOT on the in-demand list, and I think after one-year's working, I will be eligible for applying MPNP, is that correct?
And, if I got the provincial nomination, will I be eligible for EE for the next step?
I heard that EE is way more faster than the traditional paper-based process, which is 6 months VS 18 months, however, I saw a sentence on http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/2019/07/19/eoi-draw-70/

• Candidates invited under the Express Entry sub-stream who do not have a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code and verifiable experience in an occupation on Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations list will be refused.

It seems that only applicants who have a job on the In-demand Occupations list are eligible for EE, am I correct?
