Guys, I have applied for MPNP through a consultant (God knows why I did that).

My MPNP ranking score is 544. I have a connection in Manitoba (first cousin) who will support me.

Having checked with the consultant after latest draws, I am told that my application relates to Non-Strategic Skilled Overseas worker instead of Strategic Overseas worker. The draws for this stream are not out yet, last they happened was in July 2019 with lowest ranking score of 594.

1) Can someone please explain to me the difference between Strategic and Non-Strategic draws?

2) Is the consultant right in saying this?

3) anything I should know?

Your help will be much much appreciated
Strategic recruitment initiative for skilled workers oversea are for those with job offers from Manitoba. Your agent is right. as there has not been draws for non strategic skilled workers oversea for a while now.

Any updation friends..??? Really so embarrassing... any body knows the reason behind this huge delay.....
MPNP have severally restated when people mailed them regarding the cause of the delays that it is due to a high workload and they are trying to clear backlog. The wait could be frustrating as clearing backlogs seems very slow. God will see us through.

Hello everyone,

I am new to this group and I am wondering if someone can help me with my situation.

I came here as an international student and got a closed work permit with my employer. Prior to that I got a post PFL from the province stating their concern why I have moved from companies for the past couple of years and I have provided my explanation. Anyways, last October I got my medical exam done and I passed and I already done my criminal background check as well. But unfortunately, last November my employer decided to terminate me without giving me any notice or reason. I never received any write up or verbal warning.

Now my question is, will that be an enough reason for the province to withdraw my nomination and would it affect my application with the CIC?

All answers would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!

My status has changed from "assessment in process to "Information Requested" on 21-Dec-19 as per website. But have not received any email regarding it.

Any idea when i can receive the email for additional information requested?
Guys any advise ? Should i wait more or send email after new year holiday?

It's probably due to the holiday season. I expect that you will get the information request shortly after new year.

During your mpnp officer call did they ask you to create an EE profile?

Tkss!! Couldn't be happier after long 7 months

No. Actually, I created a letter asking my nomination through EE since I attended all the requirements (studied in Manitoba, working in a position in the demand list, CLB 8, experience overseas, etc.)
