Assessment complete status appeared yesterday with the refusal.
My sister met all requirements except ielts test result.
Her ielts 5.5, for the nurse NOC it is required 7.0 minimum.
It is so sad...she was waiting 2.5 years plus there was no minimum ielts requirement at that time.
If you guys had the same situation, please help asap how to appeal or not to do it.

Awwww. This is harsh. Feel very concerned about rest of the remaining applications.

I am Provincial Nominee. I have received my Canadian Permanent Residence Visa and I am yet to Land onto Winnipeg, Manitoba. My VISA was issued on December and it has validity from December to 20th July.

Now If I Land on Winnipeg, Manitoba on 1th July will be ok. Will this create any problem?

Thank you.

its advisable to land before 1 year of the issued visa

Any advice when to pay RPRF? before sending the application or wait until they advise to do so? Thanks

It doesn't make a whole lot of difference.
I know people who have paid upfront, and I personally didn't pay upfront.
If you don't pay upfront, you'll get a reminder or a request with either your Medicals or with some other Document request if they need something more from you.
In my case, they needed my police clearance certificates, so they asked for those and along with that they sent me the RPRF request and that's when I paid it.
If i would have paid upfront, while sending in my application, I would not have received that request later, and I would have only received the Police Certificate request.
All in all, it shouldn't affect your processing time either way.

My advice is to pay is upfront.

Are you sure that the reason of her refusal is the ielts requirements? As far as i know, until now the minimum ielts requirements is 5.5 but they are not accepting Nurses now due to the high volume of nurses applying.

I received my VISA as PNP for Manitoba. Guys is there any I can settle in other province. Manitoba is too cold.

Thanks.
I see that you have already landed. How are things over there? Jobs, etc included.
Yes , I landed 3 months back..
Its tough to begin but gradually things are settling down..
I guess it might be easier for a single person to survive than for a family ..
Not a bed of roses for sure but lot to explore ..
Good luck to you and all waiting for Canadian visa

Hi All,

My nomination certificate expires on April 11. My current status is as per below. Do I still need to request for any extension? Thank you!
"CIC must receive your complete application before the nomination certificate expiry date of April 11,2017." I am confused because I'm not sure whether this status indicates that my application form is complete?

1.) We received your application for permanent residence on October 31, 2016.
2.) We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 11, 2017.
3.) We started processing your application on January 11, 2017.

It just means that you should send in your application before your nomination expires.
If you have already sent in your application to CIC (which i think you have, from your status below), then you don't have to worry.
Mine was the same last year. My nomination letter was expiring in April 2016 and I sent in my application in Jan 2016.

Thank you. Does the AOR confirm the completeness of the application?

How does the File Transfer work? Why is it N/A for you if you don't mind? Thanks again!

I on't know if the AOR confirms the completeness of the application.
Mine was not really complete. Like i said, the police clearance certificates were missing from mine.

File Transfer usually happens when your file needs to be processed at a location other than Nov Scotia. for example, if you apply from India, your file would usually be transferred to the Indian office at New Delhi (which is usually abbreviated to NDVO).
My file is being processed to it's entirety at the Sydney,Nova Scotia office according to a customer service rep i spoke to last year. That's why i put N/A there. It's not something that will be shown anywhere in your application.
