I m from Punjab...Finally got UCI on 23-3-16 through mail....

Now please guide me :-

how to check my online status?
What the process will do now on my application?
When it will send to my Country Immigration office?
What's the expected time for MR?

Hello druce and my all seniors......I have done my medical on 16 march 2016 on ecas its updated from 24 march 2016 so plz tell me that how much time it will take more to ask PPR.

No one will be able to give you an exact answer on this. The only way to get an indication is to go to earlier threads and look at other applicants from the same VO's timelines. It might be 2 months, it might be 6, I (and everyone else) am not sure, sorry my friend.

Not applied to CIC yet: I lived in 4 countries out of which I received police clearances from 3 countries and am waiting from the last one.

Seniors: I need one clarification. I am now preparing for CIC. I saw that one of the acceptable payments is 'Bank Draft'. My question is - Are bank draft and demand draft same? If any of you sent demand draft from any bank located in India and it is accepted by CIC could you please reply? I have account in SBI; just want to make sure that CIC accepts demand draft. I am from India.

Yes bro...Bank Draft and Demand Draft are same...and I have also sent Demand Draft with my Application ( m also frm India). U may also contact with UAExchange services in your city for that...

yes make a demand draft in favor of Receiver general for Canada .and it is tested and trusted.

Could you please tell me what should be written in col.of Name of Institution ,the collage name or the degree awarding authority name for example Board or University name instead of where did u take ur classes???

To those who have received their MRs, have you noticed that in the MR form IMM 1017, each family members (not only the principal applicant) were given their own UCI #'s and Application #'s?

... I tried to use them all in accessing the ECAS, but apparently, only the principal applicant's reference/identification number works. Is this true?

I don't know how to find out what visa office is gonna process my application. Do they tell you which one will be processing your application in a separate email or something?
Or is it usually the nearest visa office to where you live? If that's the case then I think mine will most probably be Los Angeles,California as I live in California.

Congratulations buddy. This depends on the Visa office that will be handling your application. The cic website states that it should be completed within 15 months. They dont give more detail on specific VO's.

What VO will be processing your application?

You can check your status here:
https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

It takes them a few days to update it though, so don't panic if it says invalid application number or something like that after you type it. Just be patient and give it a couple more days.

The answers to all the other questions that you have, can be found after you check your status. It depends on what the status says. eg: if it says 'In process', or something else. That'll give you an idea about how many more steps are remaining in your process.

I filled it with Latest first and back all the way to when I was 18 years old.
They accepted my application recently and said it was considered complete, so I guess that works.

thanks for your early response ,,,please also guide the order you filled your edu. and history ...that is should i fill ''oldest first'' or latest first?

Just FYI, I applied without my police clearance certificates because it was taking too long.
It says in the instructions that you can do that, and provide the police clearance If they ask later.

I am still waiting for my police clearance by the way, and my application was already received by CIC and I also got my AOR.
Just imagine if I would have waited for my police clearance, I would still be holding on to my application as the deadline came closer and closer.
