I followed the checklist specifications. I included 6. I did write all of the info required (Name, Date of Birth, Place & Address where it was taken) on 5 of them and I left one blank. I received AOR and the e-mail stated that all my documentation was correct and that they are now processing my application. Don't stress toooo much about this. Just do like I did and it will be fine.

So, on the teacher/lecturer/nurses issue. Our one friend, Govendor (who is a lecturer at university in South Africa) applied to MPNP. her application status changed to pending mid 2015, I think May/June 2015. Until now there has been no movement on her application. She called MPNP office this month and asked what the delay was. They stated that applications for teachers/lecturers are moving slower as they are not in high demand at this stage. The officer assisting her even advice her to change her NOC code as she can do many other professions. I am not sure if she has changed it or if it is even possible. So yes, ther is a delay on some professions, IELTS Scores and other factors like Family/General stream.

Just my 2 cents.

Druce : Do you know how much IELTS band required for Engineers in Canada to get approve for MPNP application .
Mine is Listening 5.5 Reading 6 Writing 6 and Speaking 6.5 : Overall 6 bands

I am not sure if there is a definite requirement other than the minimum for everyone (which I think is 5.5 overall). I have however read about one or two people in the past that got declined at MPNP and CIC stage because their IELTS scores was too low for the profession they wanted to do, according to the officer assessing their application (even when it was above the minimum). I am of opinion that your score is above the minimum and that you are eligible to receive LOA. If I were in your shoes I would work on improving my English and maybe redo the IELTS to show yo are serious and your English has improved?

Can someone else please shed more light on this subject?

ps. this is only what I have read and my opinion and I don't know for fact. I also encourage other forum members to state clearly if what they are saying is FACT (maybe give the source of the information) or just an OPINION (and state clearly that this is their opinion) rather than discouraging each other and trying to prove each other right/wrong. We (including me) don't know everything and stating some "facts" might sometimes be discouraging/disappointing/angering other forum members ;)

Hey Druce,
How long did it take for them to send you an acknowledgement that they received your forms after you sent in your CIC documents?

Hi Druce,

Congratulations to the steady progress of your CIC application.
Please clarify, my MPNP expiration is on April 30, 2016. If I receive an AOR, within that date, does that mean I beat the dealine eventhough CIC have not yet reveiwed my files?

thanks in advance for the answer....

...Good luck to us all..

Hi,

As long as you have submitted your LOA before expiry, it doesnt matter if it expires during processing period!

These days CIC sends out AOR and File in Process in the same e-mail. They state in this e-mail that they have received your application and that all your documents are in order and that your application has been placed into processing. So, if you apply and receive AOR you will be fine. Get that application in, what is holding you back? Do it now, better safe than sorry :P

did you received your receipt (for the payment )before they send you your file number from cic?
