You have to request for a bank draft and not manager's check. Bank draft will be issued in Canadian dollars. It has 6 months validity.

Would like to ask if the manager's cheque will only be in Canadaian dollars?
Im from the Philippines and bank says cheque they're issuing are all in Peso,, im really confuse regards this please advise.

You should have an "international" pay order/ demand draft or what ever you say. when it is peso, it means it is local. most of the bank branch can not do it so far i know but some special branches of the bank who deals international transaction may provide this PO/DD. ask your bank about your purpose and needs very clearly. then they can help you.

Yes friend sometimes the change status comes before the interview. When did you applied and what stream? Im still waiting for my sponsor's interview..

I was interviewed exactly after a weeks time when my sponsor in Canada was interviewed . If you are not interviewed keep checking your inbox and spam mails for the good new ... Any time now .

If they were going to call, they would have by now right.

It's funny and ironic that by now, I am overflowing with optimism, when about 2 months ago, I was feeling disgusted with disappointments of the slow progress of our applications.... well, I'm only human - "I bleed and I fall down" and emotions can sometimes really get to my head....

I'm inclined to agree with mishy000........sometimes the cart does come before the horse......as they say

but, one thing is 100% for certain is that MPNP has your file open on the desk right now, and this you should give thanks for.
the call may come any minute/day now so just be ready, walk around smiling because your moment is going to arrive

good luck..............and YES........please DO fill us in on your application details and timeline

Thanks so much, you guys are really amazing to inspire and keep people hope alive. I applied 10th of March 2014, and assessment pending dec, 2014 , assessment in process I saw it on 25th of October 2015

Hi K33, thanx for the well wishes

I have sent in my application to CIO and it was received by them on 28 October, UPS signed waybill confirmed this. I have not yet received any correspondence or AOR from CIC, most people advise me that it will take +- 3 months to get AOR.

I just hope and pray that I get AOR and the file gets transferred to VO Pretoria, South Africa before end of 2015. Seems like the VO here sppeds things up and I will be able to have PPR before June 2016

Chill, relax and pray... who knows you & your supporter are exempted for the interview or most likely, based on the present trend, it's only the supporter who gets interviewed...
