Hi Buddy,
"Assessment in Process" means your application is being reviewed by the case office. Soon you will hear the outcome of a long wait. Eventually your status will change to "Assessment Complete" that refers to the completion of your application's processing.

Stay positive.... only few days more when you have your dream come true

hi everybody, I am from India. I applied on JANUARY 4th 2014 under GENERAL STREAM . my sponcer was interviewed day before yesterday and i got my interview call yesterday, it went smooth and the lady said that shez officer no.1 and another two officers will review the application and i vl receive my letter of approval within a week or two. . . now the problem is that my status had been changed to information requested, though i havn't recieved any mail. am not sure if my status was changed in a day or two, coz i didnt checked in past, but right now when i checked it said INFORMATION REQUESTED. any idea what it means and how much

after i receive my letter, what further do i need to know, how much more time will the entire process take.

I hope you all get ur cases done asap, thanks much . .

Agree with Navrup, if you didn't receive an email, its your supporter who needs to provide a document/something.

It took 7 mons for your status to change from pending to process. It's really a battle again of patience. Goodluck to 2014. Hope we get our LOA this year!

Preet- they asked very normal questions, how did i knew my sponcer, where he works, where does his wife works , about their children, when did i last met them face to face ? how will my sponcer support me ? these were the simple questions asked me about my uncle.

Sandeep Sivia - please be patient, i recieved call in my 19th month after applying. they are usually taking 18-22 months for general cases. your case must be in process. . . my friend applied in march nad his sponcer recieved call 4 months ago, but he didnt recieved any call after that, so you need to wait for the process. pray to god thats all.

I think the interviews will happen around the pending stage because this is where your app gets reviewed by 3 ppl right. So first the phone interview and then 2 more ppl assess our app.

from what I have seen on the forum, once interviews are done then the status changes to "in process"

we might be in for a little more waiting but i dont think very long, the website also says 8-22 months to PPR.

Also, do you have any idea how long are we going to wait for our status to change again to the next step? Thanks.

Hi lijauco, both of your questions varies from case to case.

Sometimes they will call the sponsor whilst the status is still pending, other cases the status first changed to in process and then the sponsor got called.

I hope our status changes within the next month or two, but there is no guarantee on this. All we can do is believe, hope and pray my friend. Keep the good faith, it WILL change eventually!

I am not 100% sure about this my friend. I would advise you to ask this question on the MPNP Application Batch 2013 as there is a lot more applicants that have dont this part of the process.

You can also contact the MPNP offices and ask them, I am sure they will give you a clear answer as well.
