MPNP Application Batch 2014

Hi Guys,

I just submitted my MPNP application under Family Stream. my sponsor is a close relative (My Brother -inlaw). i just learnt that his wife is supporting another family (A friend) and we submitted our application almost the same time. I hope this will not affect my application negatively

Your application as a family member wont be affected as your in-law in only sponsoring a friend. Moreso family sponsorship are not so limited as in friends. Hope reply is not belated.

Hello everyone,

I have few questions about online MPNP:

When i upload my relative's documents in the description i get below message/text "Relatives include a copy of this document when they mail Part 2 of the Settlement Plan to the MPNP." I am new to MPNP online application and had the understanding that after filling the online application i will only have to wait for approval from Manitoba.

If this is not the case please can you tell me what is the next step in application?

Also please can you help me know what should i write in below 2 sections of the settlement plan page 1:

1. Reason for choosing Manitoba
2. Reason for choosing Winnipeg.

Would really appreciate your replies. Many of you have already received approval from Manitoba, your valuable inputs can really help me with my application

When i log in it says....

""Application submitted
MPNP Application Status: Received

Your application has been submitted to the Government of Manitoba for consideration. If you have information you would like to update for your application, please do so below.""


So almost 2 months have passed. what should i do?

following the trend it takes at least 8 months to move from 'received' to 'pending', You would be only lucky if yours is earlier than 8 months, so 2 months waiting period does not call for any concern.

IF your luck is good then you will get the news anytime between 8 month's - 11 month's . Good Luck .

If your supporter already sent his SP2 and he received his AOR then all you have to do is wait...6,8,10 months... Just be patient .. now they are interviewing september and october applicant...

AOR is acknowledgment of receipt. In other words they give you a file no

It will be 10years for secondary school and if you had post-secondary education in English add that number of years also

Hello nikida,

You can email them at mpnpsupporter@gov.mb.ca and include your name and file number in the subject field. Inquire if they have received sp2 sent by your supporter and state the date.
