Has anyone here recently received an email from CIC (or IRCC now) about Linking your paper application to your online account?

I want to ask, Do US and Canada embassies share their information


previously my friend from US filled my DS160 on behalf of me and he filled mistake in the name of institute from where i have graduated. He didn't share DS160 in hurry or un-intentionally. so i was not aware of the mistake. When I have appeared in US B1/B2 interview I got visa refusal.

Will this situation cause any problem in my MPNP immigration?

How can I correct that?

When did u submit your passports?? Do u reside in karachi or Islambad .
Once u submit your passport they send an email and later when the passports are dispatched .If it is the second mail then it is the collection time

from Islamabad first email is on 26 July when passport submitted, it's second on August 8.
After how many days they connect for pick passport.

They say passports are ready to pick up after 2 days of receiving the email.. I think u must have got a phone call from CVAC by now or u might get it tomorrow to collect your passports ..

The thing is there is a difference in one letter between the last name of my name in the passport and hers
Is this a problem or it is ok or we should change her passport to fit mine

Eagle Eye,
It is better you change her passport to avoid any controversies and unnecessary explanations that could cause delay or even disqualification. Mind you all her other documents must have same names as on the passport unless she changed her surname after marriage

I went for the medical and it was a breeze!

They did a very basic medical examination:
1) Checked our weights
2) Checked our lengths
3) Checked our throats
4) Listened to chest/breathing
5) Urine sample
6) Blood sample
7 Chest ex-ray

Was done and dusted in 2 hours time.
