I have one for question regarding police clearance certificate. Please reply if you know.

The CIC guide says 'You and your family members who are 18 years of age and older and are not permanent residents or Canadian citizens must provide a valid police certificate for each country other than Canada, in which you have spent six or more months since the age of 18.

Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.'

I never moved out of my country before age 27 and I had my first passport at age 26. As per this note, does that mean that I need not have to collect Police clearance certificate from my country?

Hi Justsingh,

Give me some of that very positive "aura", please .... ;D ;) :)

... God is great in deed !

... Good luck to all of us ...

You have to provide one from your country, and one from each of the countries that you visited and stayed in for more than 6 months.
Like you said, you were older than 18 when you left your country. This means, you were NOT under 18 the entire time you were there, which would exempt you from submitting the police clearance from there IF that were the case.

Long story short: You need one from your home country as well as one from the other one.

Dear Seniors, if anybody have idea on my queries, Please reply urgently.

I am applying for Manitoba MPNP program and filling EOI, Facing below queries,
1) My exp falls under two NOC in last 5 years(Previous: 3.5 years and Current:1.5 years), How can i apply for two NOC to get points(Points: 75) for 5 years of exp?
2) what should i answer for ''WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT OCCUPATION'', 3.5 years or 1.5 years.
3)How many full time of exp do you have in in last five years'', Is it related to occupation or total? because it is not mentioned about related to occupation? should i put 5 years?

Plz advise.

Answer everything truthfully.
I can't really answer all three of your questions, but I can answer one.

2. Your current occupation is what it actually is.... Your CURRENT occupation. Don't mess around with it if you wanna be on the safe side. What will you provide as a proof of current occupation in case they ask about it?
And I'm saying this from personal experience. I was asked by someone from MPNP to upload my employment verification letter from my current job on the portal after they interviewed me on the phone.

Re: MPNP Application Batch 2016

Please I and my spouse have been nominated for the permanent residence. Pls how do we go about it. What documents do we need to send to CIC. Thanks

Hi All,

We're now waiting and praying for PPR - and we have renewed passports of my spouse and 2 children since all are about to expire in 5 months time...

Schedule of release is by W1 - April...

My question is, do we update CIC about it and send photocopies of the renewed passports prior to PPR? :-[ :'( ::)

I'm worried that during background checks with the DFA, CIC may use the old PP #s as reference in the database and not see our details ...

Please... anyone has the answer ?

Thanks in advance ...

... Good luck to all of us ...
