Hi,

MPNP online has started just recently. When I got approval letter, that time MPNP was not giving any online status.Online status was only possible once case was transferred to CIC.

Hi druce,

Check out the link below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp

Permanent resident status

You must have permanent resident (PR) status in Canada. Your PR status must not be in question. That means you must not be:

under review for immigration or fraud reasons, or
under a removal order (an order from Canadian officials to leave Canada).

You do not need to have a PR card to apply for citizenship. If you have a PR card, but it is expired, you can still apply for citizenship.
Time you have lived in Canada

You must have resided in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before you apply. This does not apply to children under 18.

You may be able to count time you spent in Canada before you became a permanent resident if it was during the past four years.

Use our online tool to find out if you have lived in Canada long enough to apply to become a citizen.
Thank you for clarifying :D

Are you in Canada or what country are you from ?

Hello everyone.

Has anybody here had the same thing that happened to my cousin? she completed her online MPNP application on February 2014, received a file number, sponsor was requested for SP2 and sent one right away. However, just recently, when she checked her ecas, her status says application: In Progress.

This is so confusing. Your thoughts on this case please.

Need your suggestions:

I applied in feb 2014, assesment in process (can you change my status), my sponsor received a call from mpnp asking general questions and informing that there would be an interview to be schedule soon. meanwhile, i received a schoolarship to study a master in europe during a year. What should i do, do you think i could follow mpnp process will im in europe?

if i get the LOA in a month or two, how long will it take to have to move to Canada?
i know that once i get the LOA, i have 6 months to apply to CIC, then i dont know how long will it take to process CIC my application and request our passports.

Need your advice.

Carry on with your study.. it will take around one year so don't worry and you can extend that as well submitting document on due date at every stage.. by this you will get almost 1 & half year..

Seniors,

Can you please guide me.. what does mean post secondary as mentioned in MPNP criteria.. I am from India and one of my friend has done Diploma Electrical engineering after 10th Standard. Will it be considered as post secondary course more than 2 years and get 20 points or will this be trade certificate and get 14 Points. Please help.

Thanks..

Hi all,

I need to clarify one thing of anybody can help me out for that. When I applied my case in MPNP online, they asked for IELTS. Without that it was not going forward. That time my IELTS was not current, means it was expired. So I uploaded my that IELTS result. Now I am re-taking IELTS exam in Mar.

I need to know that if there will be problem in my case for uploading the expired IELTS results.

Thanks

Hiiiii gaurnita,

I've same case as yours. When i applied in Feb 2014 my ielts was already expired. But i uploaded same. Then they asked me updated IELTS in Dec 2014. But my test date was 7 feb 2015. So i mailed them as asked for extension. They mailed me back as follows:

Greetings,

This is to acknowledge the receipt of your email.

Documents will be uploaded accordingly. Please submit the official IELTS Result as soon as you receive it.

Sincerely,

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

Online Application Support.

So i suggest u should mail them and tell them abt ur test date. Also attach ur test registration slip or mail copy. I think they will give u extension too.Hope u got ur answer.
