MPNP Application Batch 2013

Guys I m new to this forum. I have a friend in winnipeg who supports my MPNP application ( distant relative / friend ) category.

My question is I have already cleared IELTS test in the year of 2008 and 2009 respectively. Both the times I got 6.5 overall band score. But both the test results were expired in the year of 2010 and 2011 respectively. I have done my schooling as well my college graduation, and the medium of instruction was English. Do I need to undergo IELTS test again as the result validity expired or Can I attach both of my previous test result to prove the language ability.

Do I need to submit ( upload ) these results at the time of MPNP online application or at the later stage ?

I personally did not submit an ielts result when I applied for MPNP, however, I did provide a certificate from my employer that our medium of language here at work is English (been working for my current company for 6 years- and it's an american company subsidiary) and I was given an LOA....

You may also ask for a certificate from your school that the mode of education is english and attach your previous ielts results, however, you need to be aware that it is a risk that you are taking. Depending on the reviewer, you may still be required to take the IELTS exam and send them a new set of results which will delay your processing time vs. sending the new results with your application (you need to attach the results in the Language Proficiency section of the online tool)

It would really depend on you, if you want to take the risk or want to be on the safer side....

As per the new point grid, i am scoring 66 points. but i dont know anyone on manitoba, can i still apply for MPNP?

Yes you can apply to manitoba under the strategic initiative plan. Here you will have to request for an invitiation for an exploratory visit, if approved, you go to manitoba for a few days, devise a settlement plan, and then go for an interview one of the MPN officers in winnipeg, ig you convince them of your desire to establish yourself in canada they will then invite you to apply for the provincial nominee program, you can get full details on this link (http://www.immigratemanitoba.com/how-to-immigrate/apply/exploratory-visits/). Hi guys, i applied jan 2013 (FS), just had my sponsor interview 2 days ago. The thing is, last night i missed a call from Manitoba as i was sleeping already, around 11pm, Manila time. Could it be them? I am really worried. Is it possible for them to interview the principal applicant as well? Thanks

it may be possible, since some of the applicants from last year posted in the forum that they too were interviewed by the Manitoba Labor office (either before or after the interview of their sponsors)

it could be or could not be. Maybe u could check on ur sponsor if he/she still has d number that called for you to cross check.
I also applied Jan FS but was not interviewed but my sponsor was.

Thanks a lot for your response.......I think I will reappear for IELTS, as it is mandatory now a days so they might not allow my previous results.

Hi, thank you for responding. I already told my sponsor and it was indeed the immigration officer. I'll prolly return their call on Monday, its quite hard bec of the time difference but that's ok. I just didn't expect to receive a call from them that late.
