Hello all,

Could you tell me in brief with your experience what kind of questions are asking to Canadian Supporter ? they invite them or just telephonic interviews ? (Family support)

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I have a brother in law outside Manitoba and I applied under General Stream MPNP (already have a file number), will this affect my application to be rejected?

Thanks

I would like to add something onto it in regards to your question, First of all before deciding on any application case officer will look onto your "STRONGER TIES" and where they are established more. It doesn't really matter if you have family member outside Manitoba ( But you must disclose it in your application), if he/she is less settled/established than your supporter ( Doesn't matter your family or friend) will clarify and support the application.

In clear words, a supporter can help you settle more successfully than your family member who is less established than your friend supporter or vice versa.

Regards

Hi Athrenta, I am also a September 2013 applicant but until now my status shows "assessment in Process". My sponsor was interviewed last June and i also have relatives outside Manitoba. My Status changed to "Assessment in Process" a day after my sponsors interview. May i know when was your sponsor was interviewed and is your status still in process even if your application was already rejected or it showed there that it was rejected? My sponsor phoned the officer who interviewed her but unfortunately they dont give status through the phone. Thank you.

My status now is assessment complete. My sponsor was interviewed last June 2014 looks like we have the same timeline. Maybe you passed coz you have different status. If you are in family stream you have a strong chance.

Hi Satinsdi, My grandmother on my fathers side and all his 4 brothers and my mothers brother and niece are all outside Manitoba and my sponsor in Manitoba is my mothers distance cousin. But in my sponsors interview my aunt said everything went well and she told the officer that i intend to stay in Manitoba and she still has plans to sponsor her brother and other relatives and she told the officer that i will really stay in Manitoba and will never sponsor me in the 1st place if i have plans to leave the province because it will affect his future plans to sponsor her brother and other cousins. My sponsor was interviewed last June 2014 but until now my status still shows it is still in process. Do you know what status they show if the application has been rejected? I hope i will get LOA because i really intend to stay in Manitoba. Thank you

I think you have a stronger case than mine coz you are being sponsored by your relatives. Your interview questions were answered better than mine. I knew it will happen when she told me her answers even I was not convinced. I cant just elaborate. Good luck to you. My status now is assessment completed

You have a point there. But my friend is a business woman in Manitoba but I still got rejected. I still believe the interview matters more. If your sponsor was able to convince the officer.

Happy Holiday season to everyone, i have a question to all seniors or whoever have a knowledge about my question. what questions will be asked from PNP immigration officer during sponsor interview, is it scheduled or random timing, is it regular business hour or after business hours like night and weekend, usually how long does this whole interview process takes. if u guys have more informations and personal experience regarding this interview would be very great help and appreciated.:) :) :)

I had send an application package to CIC on 28th October 2014 and the same received by CIC on 4th November 2014. Just need to get quick update about AoR. Is there any people from the same time lien received their Acknowledgement of Letter from CIC or anything.

To best of knowledge:
1. The questions are not pre-defined. In the interrogation all they (officer) try to find out from the sponsor/supporter is that- does the sponsor has strong connection with the applicant. i.e. Manitoba connection need to be convinced. This is in case where the supporter is a friend and if supporter is relative then family back ground is investigated.

2. Interview is obviously has to be a surprise call in local working hours and may be if the call is unanswered then voice message must have been left- asking to call back the officer.
