PPR today, May28, 2014. Thank you Lord! But we are in a bit of dilemma now. I haven't enrolled my son in school, you think i should not anymore? The fee this school year is huge and it would be a waste of money if we enroll him and God willing, visa will be issued in a month. Also, our validity is may 16, 2015. The prob is, one dependent's passport will expire this january 2015. What to do... What to do... Please, any advice will be appreciated. THAnk you so much!

Sorry, that is no possible, it must to be one supporter per application at time, it is one to one process. Your sister, need to receive a support from another person, and need to prove a confident and concrete relation between both, could be a friend also.

Here check this out: http://www.canadavisa.com/eligibility-requirements-manitoba-provincial-nominee-program.html

Manitoba Support Stream

This stream was created for skilled workers who are not currently employed in the province but possess a personal connection to Manitoba. Principal applicants must score at least 60 out of 100 points on the MPNP selection grid. This grid takes into account the following factors:

Language proficiency
Age
Work Experience
Education
Adaptability

The personal connection, known as the Manitoba Supporter, will provide support during the application process.

The Manitoba Supporter must have one of the following relationships with the applicant:

Close relative
Sister or brother
Niece or nephew
Aunt or uncle
First cousin
Mother or father
Grandmother or grandfather
Distant Relative
Close Friend

In addition, the Manitoba Supporter must meet the following criteria:

Provide documentation showing they currently reside and are established in Manitoba, and have been living in the province for at least one year
Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
Demonstrate close ties to the applicant (was redundant)
Demonstrate that any previously supported applicants have successfully established themselves in Manitoba
Be able to support the applicant’s Settlement Plan

If the supporter is a friend or distant relative, they can only support one applicant at a time through this stream. A close relative can support more than one applicant at a time, provided they demonstrate that they are financially capable of doing so.

sir clarence, please update my status: PPR may 28, 2014. and for the seniors, can you advise me on my problem with one dependent's passport expiration. it will expire on January 4, 2015.. visa validity as stated on the email is May 16, 2015.

The email stated:The validity of your passport(s) must be at least six (6) months beyond the visa validity
date (note that any passport received with a shorter validity than the date shown above
will result in a reduced validity for entry to Canada for all members of your family, if any).
now, i don't know if we should send passports and photos and appendix A now. is it ok if we do not renew the passport? we plan to leave as soon as possible anyway. please, your advice will be dearly appreciated.

Congratulations Deep_Purple, actually it depends upon on when do you plan to leave. If I were you and you are planning to leave very soon after granted with canadian visa then its better not to have them enrolled. If you plan to send your son to school in canada, mostly, class started by August so you can still enroll your son there. And regarding your other childs' passport, it is better for you to leave before it expires so you can have a peace of mind. Rememer, most airlines/countries requires atleast 6 months valid passport with visa prior to your departure date. Thanks

As one of your dependent's passport will expire on January 4, 2015, then most probably the validity of the visa that might be issued to you and your family will be until July 4, 2014 (six months back from the passport's validity). So, if you're planning to land by or before July 4, 2014 then you wouldn't have any issue with your visa and also with the airlines' requirement that your passport must be at least 6 months valid for them to allow you to travel.

But if you plan to travel after July 4, 2014, then you should consider renewing the passport before sending them to the visa office.

the question is, will CEM send back the passports with visas in a week or two if we send the passports this week? It is possible for us to leave by the end of June but the time it takes to receive back the passport with visas? I see other applicant's timeline and some waited for a month to receive their visas. Thanks for the advice gkarl :)

If I'm in your situation, I would decide to renew the passport first. I believe this is the best thing to do given the circumstances.

There's no way to know exactly how long CEM would process and return back the passport with the visa... and of course it's difficult to predict the validity period.
