hi,
just want to know: how many days would it take to get the passport returned to the applicant once requested for visa stamping. Am little bit bothered right now since im working abroad, if it in case i will be requested for visa stamping, what should I do? Am I going to resign from my work abroad or should I file for a leave? the question is how many days leave I should take?

Hi! you missed out my answer to your query the last time. Actually, it is hard to tell when will the passport be returned to the applicant. The timeline varies. But this is what is written in the PPR I received last July 4. I think this could help you out. By the way, my VO is Manila.

Your passport(s) with immigrant visa(s), Confirmation of Permanent Residence Form(s), and your original documents will be returned to you by COURIER COLLECT. At the time of delivery, payment must first be paid to the courier company before they will release the package. If you do not wish to pay for a costly international shipment, please provide a delivery address in the Philippines on your Appendix A.

We will make our best efforts to have your passport(s) returned to you with your visa(s) within 90 working days from their receipt at the Embassy.You should not make any plans to travel to Canada until you are in possession of your passports and their required visas.

Thanks for the reply. Let's say it would take 60-90 days before the passport be returned? Will they accept sending my original passport tru my wife or any representatives while continue working abroad? althought it's a bit risky on my part but i think i would do it rather than resigning prematurely and wait indefinitely...

please share your comments and advices.. tanx

Hi All,

I have received LOA and asked to submit file to CIC. I have gone through checklist 5690 for PNP applicant. It hardly ask for any documents. Only aked for Passport copies, Nominatin copy, IELTS copy, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, PCC and Photos.

Is this correct? I only need to submit these documents only.
Also documents requried are in copy.. Do I need to have certified copy of all documents or normal copy?

Please help me to send correct documents.

My application is under MPNP GS.. with distant relative.

6th Feb 2013 - Applied online
7th Jun 2013 - Sponsor was interviewed
7th Jul 2013 - MPNP Approval
Mailed documents to CIC – Pending..

CEM received my passport July 3, 2012. DM on ECAS was last July 11 =)
