Hi guys... I'm bit confused pls suggest me regarding one ques... Is mpnp sending any acknowledgement after receiving additional documents? As in my case I got my AOR on 3 August 2012.. Nd as stated in tht AOR I have to submitt some updated documents to MPNP before 3 Nov 2012. I sent all the required documents in 2nd week of sept. but after tht I did not received any type of letter nd call from them. Nd still waiting for sponsors interview or decision. I also emailed them 3-4 times regarding this but every time they replied we can't provide any info regarding processing nd status of file. Last week I emailed nd they asked for my file number so they will check tht they have my file or they received my additional documents. So I sent email nd mentioned file number but today they replied me stated tht we can't provide any info. So pls tell me how I can know tht they have my file nd received my additional documents.

To all the Senior Members.

Plz suggest what should be done... My sponsor is in India due to family emergency (his brother died), now ofcourse if MPNP call him for interview he wont be there in Winnipeg to answer the call.. He doesn't have a phone with him in India though his relatives do have.. How do I inform MPNP about this? I dont want them calling my sponsor-er n getting no answer/voicemail.

Shud I email MPNP n tell them about this & mention my file number etc?
Plz suggest

I advise that you send an email to MPNP about the present circumstances of your sponsor. Mention your file# and the date when your sponsor will be back in Winnipeg for the interview. Also, It will be an opportunity for you to at least know the status of your application. As per the tracking sheet, your sponsor is overdue for an interview. Your "contemporaries" have received already their LOA's.

This was the same case with me as well... They replied me over the email that they have made the updation of the contact number... but still they called my sponsor on his canadian number only... he somehow managed it to work.. you should also try to make it work.... ask the operator about it....

Hi Guys
This is really awesome article. I was searching them for last so many days and today i got proper direction.
Thank you so much for your time and efforts.

I just want to know some more things if you have an idea about it.

I have applied for manitoba MPNP file and i have real experience in my company. I just want to know that do they do physical inquiry at office address? If they do inquiry on phone then what kind of question they ask to employer?

Please let me know this. Thanks in advance.

Guys you rocks...This forum change the life of many people.

Regards

they may call your employer.. but physical checks cannot be there... also, it depends on reputation of the company....

Thanks for reply rowdy jatt... As I'm GS applicant nd I got AOR through regular post. As I know only online applications got AOR or other acknowledgements through email. So I applied by post. I don't know how I can make contact with them.I'm worried abt this Bcoz already 7 months passed after AOR.

I jen_rose27, your brother needs to take IELTS definitely. I was denied my first application because of this. Show money would be $10,000 CAD for principal applicant plus $2,000 for every dependent including spouse. So, If your brother would bring his 2 kids with him w/o spouse, he should have about $14,000 CAD (10,000 + 2,000 + 2,000).

I hope this answers your question. :-)

Good to know this foofoo. Now my question is what is the difference between the family and general stream. The auntie who is willing to sponsor is a cousin of my bro in law's father so I would assume that they are considered as distant relative? Correct me if i am wrong on that one. My in law is debating whether to apply under general or not. From what I understood on the website only skilled workers can apply for General stream? Is this also right? I will really appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Yeah, the "aunt" is considered to be a "distant relative". In that case, your bro-in-law can apply only under GS if he is able to reach 55 points (heard that it has changed to 60, just dunno the effectivity date) in the "skilled worker GS self-assessment tool" (click link below).

Hi, thank you for the clarification and for the link as well. For the general stream does he need to fall under skilled worker catergory (NOC 0,A,B)? I believe he is currently working as a food server in a restaurant.

He has to score 55 in that self-assessment tool. He is considered as low-skilled worker and definitely needs to take IELTS. In order to reach 55 points in that tool, he should have finished a 4-year college course, at least 4 years continuous full-time work experience and IELTS score of 6 or more.
