MPNP Application 2012

Hello friends,

My cousin has got a MPNP approval and now he has to apply to CIO.

In the checklist of CIO documents, it is mentioned that "copy" of Nomination certificate is to be sent.... but on the Nomination certificate itself, it is clearly mentioned that we need to attach the "original letter" with the complete application package.

We are in a confusion, need your valuable suggestions

Also in checklist, it is mentioned that "copy" of IELTS score card is needed. Really so?

I presummed that your application falls under Family Support. Thus, being "cousin-to-cousin" relation is not accepted for this category as per the criteria. It is most relatively acceptable if you apply under General Stream. Hope it hepls.

As per MPNP the family stream is based on following relation ship Mother/Father/son/daughter/sister/brother/aunt/uncle/niece/nephew/grandparent or first cousin(your aunt/uncle's son/daughter)
and uncle and aunt are your father or mother's brother and sisters.

i just submitted mine, i strictly followed the CIO checklist- instead of submitting the original LOA as stated on the letter from Manitoba, i sent a notarized photocopy instead. i also sent a notarized copy of my IELTS result.

Dear lokoloko0:with rgds to Ur question, I submitted my documents to CIO sometime in June, and I followed the instrument on the check list, dat a copy be sent with the documents, and it was Clearly stated in the LOA ( from Manitoba) that the Original be placed on the top of the documents to be sent to CIO. And this is exactly what I did. Yeah there could fears , I suggest you scan your original LOA and keep same as a soft copy in Ur Archive. My suggestion to your cousin is to place a photocopy(LOA) amongst the documents in the checklist order, and the Original LOA right on top of all the documents to be forwarded to CIO. But the checklist for PNP did not mention notorised copy. It only mentioned "copy".

on the checklist, everything says copy, but on the guide, they are talking about notarized copies, so i just notarized all the documents. i'm hoping they wouldn't return my application just because i have every document notarized. i'm hoping i did the right thing with the notarization and the copy of the LOA.

i did a copy because a friend from the forum mentioned that i should follow the checklist from CIO first then follow the instruction on the LOA. so what happened with mine is that the LOA is placed at how it was mentioned on the CIO checklist and the CIO checklist being the cover letter.

not sure though. hope to hear for more input so we can help lokoloko0!

Just worried though of the possibility if "Visa Office" requires the "original" at a later stage, and we instead have sent it to CIO.

On the other hand, there is a fear of getting application returned by CIO due to the lack of original letter.

I am going to post this querry on facebook forum also and send an email to CIO as well. Lets see what they have to say.

Just looked at toyeen's timeline. Since he/she has already received medicals, I think better to follow his/her advice and do the same thing.

But I do feel that copy of nomination & IELTS should also suffice, because as per the CAIPS notes of my FSW application, they check for the authentication of such documents online, anyway.

But to our previous query regarding IELTS validity, they did reply after about a week.

From your timeline, MPNP now seems to be taking too much time to process even online applications. Whereas in past they usually sent LOA within about 2 months for those.

Hi!
AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt - I got this document by snail mail here in the Philippines 4 months after sending my application to MPNP.
LOA means LETTER OF APPROVAL - when our application has been approved this document will be sent to us, also thru snail mail.

As of now, I am waiting for my sponsor to be interviewed. I applied last January 2012 under General Stream, got my AOR dated May 30, 2012 and hoping to get my LOA soon
