Well done, almost at the finish line.

So happy to hear good news all around because that means, our applications are also going forward. ;D ;D ;D

Hi,

Sharing my good news with you. Thanks to Lord and you all...:)
Please update my timeline for MPNP general stream:

MPNP(general stream) application Dropped at Winnipeg office: 1st Nov, 2012
AOR Received: 17th June, 2013
Interview call: 29th Oct, 2013
LOA dates: 30th Oct, 2013
LOA Received: 7th Nov, 2013

Can anyone answer if I need to provide English efficiency test with my Federal application? My NOC class is 2171.
I am currently living in Winnipeg. Do I need to take police certificate from Canada for my Federal application?
Another question, do we need to provide original copy of LOA to CIC? Please let me know.

Thank you very much.

Regards
Tomalika

Hi! CIO received my visa application last nov 5. I sent my papers thru courier(FedEx). My current work is here in Singapore as a nurse but my visa office I chose was Manila. I put in the current city of residence is Philippines because I just started my work here last may. I've read that you should stay in a particular country for 6 straight months in order for you to say that it's your current country of residence. The main reason I chose Manila was I heard that visa processing in Manila is much faster than in Singapore. Is it true? After they review my visa application they will decide which visa office I will be assigned right? After that what next for me? Pls help.. :)

Hi rockmi! We basically have the same timeline. CIO received my application November 8. Yes, you're right the yard stick of 6 months stay in any particular country apply for residency requirement. In your case, Philippines still your country of residence because you're just new in Singapore. In CIC's website, Manila VO is shown as faster than Singapore VO in processing applicants. However, the processing still depends on several factors: such as the completeness of all the requirements you submitted to them, the results of your medicals, how soon you provide them with whatever they requested from you and the volume of applicants who applied in that VO.

In my case, I wish CIO will forward my application to Manila VO (which I selected in my application form) but they might actually send it to Abu Dhabi VO because I'm a long-term resident in the GCC (Qatar).

After CIO's review and evaluation, if our application found to be complete for further processing, they will forward our application to the respective VO they will select based on our residency and then basically we just need to wait for the medical request, then passport request and finally visa issuance/stamping. Based on current timelines, the whole process might take 6-8 months, depending on the officer reviewing our applications. Goodluck!
