Thanks simplex.

I have a question. I already paid my RPRF online along with the processing fees. But VO is still asking me to pay the RPRF. I have already emailed them about it. I gave the OR# number on my message to them. Is there a number I can call to clarify my case? What's the number of the Manila VO for immigration?

Thanks.

Haven't tried contacting them so I have no idea. Check this website while waiting for the suggestions of our friends here in the forum:

Got my MR today. Yay!!! :-)

Congrats foofoo!

Now, I really have to request for GCMS in order to know where my file is (CEM or ADVO). No MR yet to date!

Thanks simplyblessed, ad123164... and I really hope you get yours this week.

BTW, to answer my question regarding RPRF, I have contacted Manila Immigration and they instructed me to do a refund on my RPRF. According to them, online payment for RPRF is only for e-Application. And mine was via paper (courier).

Now I need to find money for bank draft. :-) I plan to pay in Peso to "Embassy of Canada, Manila".

my application was done through mail (hard copy), i don't know if that information will be applicable to all related to online payment since most of us made it successfully. CIO already sent AOR for my application as well as for the payment via credit card both for Processing Fee and RPRF.

guys..did you hear about proof of landing funds? how much is the required amt. for a provincial nominee should be bring upon landing? thanks

Each province has it own proof of funds for the purpose of nominating you to the Federal for PR Visa, but I would prefer to adopt the proof of fund of the Federal Government when landing to be on the saver side. This is just my view since the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) - Officers at the point of entry are employee of the Federal Government and not that of the province.

The federal skilled worker proof of fund you can find here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

That is strange since you paid for it with your application, it out of place to ask for a refund and now pay with a bank draft. ???

Did they change their rules lately? There are those who are not under e-application and paid both processing and RPRF upon submission of their application. Anyway, just do what they instructed.

You can pay in peso if you opt to. I got mine from BPI, in Canadian Dollars, though. Good luck! ;D

hi ad123164,

if u didn't indicate in ur application the visa office you wanted to process ur application..the cio will be the one who will decide where it will go.. same what happened to me my current country of residence is dubai but my mailing address is phils..i received my AOR from CIO march 13..so im expecting my MR by april but its already may and no MR yet.. i tried to email manila VO, they replied that my application is in abu dhabi..
made me disappointed coZ ADVO is very slow..

Thanks everyone for the information.

Here's what the VO told me regarding my RPRF:

We regret to advise that payment online is limited to those who select the e-Application process. You had applied using a paper application thus the online payment option does not apply to you.

Fee payment options for paper applications submitted to our office (i.e., not submitted on-line) are the following:

• Fees must be paid by bank draft, certified cheque, postal money order (PMO) or manager’s cheque. Cash payment is not accepted.
• Print your name on the back of the bank draft or certified cheque.
• Fees can only be paid in Canadian Dollar and Philippine Peso currencies although it is advisable to pay in Canadian Dollars to avoid currency fluctuation.
• If you are paying in Canadian dollars, the bank draft or certified cheque should be addressed to the: Receiver General for Canada.
• If you are paying in Philippine Pesos, the bank draft or certified cheque should be made payable to the: Embassy of Canada, Manila.
• Cheques can be issued by any local or international banks or post offices. Bank cheques are valid for 6 months from the date they were issued, while PMOs are valid for only 3 months.
• If bank drafts are issued from a bank in Canada in Canadian dollars, the "drawee" (also known as the clearance or correspondent bank) must be left blank.

With this, I guess, I'll follow what simplex did. I'll pay through BPI in Canadian Dollars instead.

Simplex, did you address your bank draft to "Receiver General for Canada" ? Thanks in advance.

• If you are paying in Canadian dollars, the bank draft or certified cheque should be addressed to the: Receiver General for Canada.
• If you are paying in Philippine Pesos, the bank draft or certified cheque should be made payable to the: Embassy of Canada, Manila.

Yes, the "Receiver General for Canada" is my payee. :)

Thanks simplex.

I'll have the bank draft prepared this week and I'll submit it to the VO in Makati on Tuesday next week. I had my medicals scheduled that day also. :)
