Yes you need to include latest bank statement of last 3 months.

CIC Nova Scotia does not need the inclusion of bank statements but it is a requirement of MPNP when you apply for nomination. Dont mix up the two.

Though some visa offices do ask for proof of funds which bank satement can authenticate but that is visa specific and not a general requirements of CIC Nova Scotia.

Hi Emperor & to others who submitted application to CIC,

I expect to receive the original LOA tomorrow mailed by my sponsor and I have prepared already the CIC application package (just to enclose the LOA and place the "sticker"). Just a few questions before finally sending my package tomorrow.

1. Are the required two (2) mailing labels self-adhesive or just printed on a plain paper?
2. Is there any designated place in the envelope (application/nomination package) where to fix the sticker that came with the LOA?
3. Since I'm sending the package via couirier, the correct address is (????)

I am so relieved I found your post I have been trying to check what the CIO courier address is since DHL does not accept just a PO Box address. Have you received your AOR yet? I received my LOA January and just got finished collating my docs. I am running out of time so I really need to use a courier. Your post is a Godsend! Were you able to get a reply from the CIO yet?

Got my AOR already April 29. Yes, that is the correct address. Don't rush too much! Check once again your application package. It takes about 45 to 50 days to receive a AOR after application receipt by CIO. A returned application will mean backsliding by 3 months. Watch video or go through the guidelines in order to make sure that you're submitted a complete application... links below

i really wnt to move manitoba canada....here is my profile :-

diploma in nautical science -1 year
experience - 2 and half year
present status - 3rd officer in merchant navy(navigator) (singapore company)
i have 2nd mate COC
i hv close friend in manitoba (winnipeg)
age - 26 year

ma qestions are:-
m i eligible to apply under MPNP??
from whr do i start ??
ielts is must before filing or start first step?? coz ryt now i m on sailing n dnt understand what is the proper scenerio ??

plz help me n let me knw what i need to do ??

thanks emperor, am going through all the form for CIC, am expecting my nomination letter here in Nigeria too, my sponsor had received his own(LOA),my question is this, am i going to receive my own copy of LOA here too. cos i heard things are really slow here in Ghana, praying my application is on the fastlane.

There is just one LOA letter and would be sent to the mailing address stated in your MPNP application form. So inform your sponsor to courier it to you since that is the only letter.

we both discussed on it, we are going to wait till the end of this week and decide if he will courier the LOA to me, cos i was told a copy will be sent to me, i also received AOR at home, including my sponsor, but it got to my sponsor on tym. that's the advantage.

Check MPNP Application 2013 thread, I replied to your post.

The subject is about the requirement of including bank statement in CIC application and not MPNP application. CIO is so meticulous even with the arrangement of the documents you will submit (i.e. place barcode page on top, sign forms, clip photos, etc.). If over-payment of fees can be a ground for a returned application, inclusion of unnecessary supporting documents can also be a reason.

So your conclusion is that in MPNP application there is no need of bank statment. It is only required when you got LOA and send your file to CIO. Please confirm so others get aware of that. However Emperor has also commented in this thread regarding, so please share your comments.

CIO Application - Bank Certificate & Bank Statement is NOT REQUIRED upon application but may still be asked later in your application process.

If the mailing address is in Manitoba:

LOA - 1 original to sponsor
- no copy for the principal applicant
*then the sponsors will courier the LOA to the principal applicant that will take less than a week to receive.

AOR - 1 original to sponsor
- 1 copy furnish to the principal applicant

This is the time to focus because you need to submit a complete package to CIO-NS. I advise you to read the guide and document checklist first. From there, you will know where to start.

You are definitely right. MPNP application to be nominated (LOA) & CIO application for Permanent Resident Visa (PRV).

MPNP: Application + AOR + Interview/s = LOA (Nomination)
CIC/CIO: Application + AOR + MR + PPR = PRV (Permanent Residence Visa)
