Better not to apply without IELTS. I have seen applications getting rejected at first instance itself because no IELTS cert was submitted.

Nice seeing you around ;D ;D ;D

Please make your post in English language only for the benefit of non-Filipino members. It would also serve as a training in communicating in English which will be mandatory once we landed in Canada.

My advices/replies as follows for your next application:

1. Apply under Family Stream.
2. Apply ONLINE which has fast processing time. The Online System will guide you in making sure that you submit only a COMPLETED Application Form and supporting documents.
3. You don't need an IELTS if you are a skilled worker. Just upload certifications from your university that you were educated under an institution where the medium of instruction is English AND from your company stating that the language of commerce is English.
4. The financial status of your sponsors is not a qualifying factor under the Family Stream. The support required by MPNP from sponsors are non-financial in nature. (i.e. support in finding jobs, housing...settling in the community)

Ok. Thank you for the advice it really enlighten me, I am really confused if I will apply again thru my sponsor in Winnipeg under GS or online. i already took IELTS and thanks to God got 7.5 OBS. I will take your advice and tell my sponsor that they need not worry about their financial status. and hopefully they will agree with me to go online, because the last time i suggested it they insisted to me that I already applied under General stream and I might encounter problem if I shift to another stream.

It is really my plan to send my application back to them this week, but since you said that it would be better if I go online and it would not be a problem to us even if it is just my uncle who have work right now then I will talk to them again and hopefully convince them.

Thanks again and Godbless you.

Hi, i want to ask a question. I am applying under general stream through a distant relative. Should i prove my relationship with him/her.?
It is a very complex relationship and i will require birth certificates of my great grand fathers to prove it which is not possible. What to do? Is it necessary?
hi ibad17,

in distant relative It is not necesary to include birth certi of sponsor.

thanks
swami

Another question, my papers were returned but it already have file# MB...... but it also state "you may wish to reapply provided you can meet the eligibility criteria..." would it be ok if I will change from GS to Family stream as I can understand i am starting it all over again, or would it be better if I continue with my old application under GS.

please help me coz i really want to send my application as soon as possible. it is already complete i just cant decide in what manner i should pass it on.

If you check Tweety's post, you will see the link to the "tracking sheet". I have seen that there are at least two members, Kidlat and Teacherdude, who have undertaken re-application. Teacherdude has recently received LOA. Send them PM's to know what they have done...
