We are currently waiting for our LOA , sponsor interviewed last Sept 27 , my sister's in law sister received her LOA last October 16 she submitted her Application 1 day ahead of us , i can nearly smell LOA by next week..

I need some help,


My uncle in Manitoba was asking me if the Settlement Plan 2 is needed to be notarized like the old MAS Affidavit form? can somebody share some experience about his concern? because based on the SP2 form there is no portion for notarizing the document?

their is not any need of SP2 to be notarized ? so dont worry...just ask ur sponsor to complete the form and sign on it ,scan and send it to mpnp email....

hello there. how about ur sponsor's SP2? did u submit it? how come u still have no reply from ur application when it is done online.. did ur sponsor endorse their SP2?

Yup teacherdude , SP2 was already endorsed too. And my sponsor got a response via email. I haven't heard back from MPNP after that its almost 4 months now

waiting time....no sponsor interview yet , no any other documents requested...been 3 months and 1 week waiting time now.

Got a question specially to Firefox14, did you include your secondary education transcript in your application ?

I skipped that part and only entered my college education, transcript and diploma. I did not put an entry for secondary education. I also dont have an IELTS exam result since I did not take it. I have an English certification though from my school, and Certification from my company that I work in an English speaking environment.

Hello, allow to appeal,
According to the MPNP Guide, in order to be nominated under Family Stream, an applicant "should have a strong support from a close relative who is SUCCESSFULLY ESTABLISHED in Manitoba.

I have a brother in Manitoba. He has been a permanent resident of Canada for just 1 year. He applied as an IT specialist via General stream. However he works at construction site and I am worried that an officer could consider my brother as unsuccessfully established, because he doesn't have a permanent full time job.

How MPNP officers decide whether a person is successfully established in Manitoba or not???
And I would also appreciate if somebody could share their experience applying under Family stream with a close relative who is in similar situation.

I just want to share the good news with you guys, my sponsor was finally interviewed last Monday, October 15. (My AOR is dated May 30,2012)
According to my sponsor, the interview lasted for about 5 mins. Very basic questions about my personal information
were asked: How are we related, nature of my work, if i'm married, name of my husband and how many kids i have. She was also asked about her work.
I'm hoping to get positive result. Btw, here's my timeline:
Jan. 20, 2012 - Application Filed MPNP - GS
May 30, 2012 - AOR
October 15, 2012 - Sponsor's Interview

As far as I know, they will only send one original LOA to your mailing address and there will be no copy. You said that it's here in the Philippines, so it will take 3-4 weeks after the interview.
