Hi Auie09, I filed my application last March 29, 2011. Do you know if I have chance to be nominated since I don't have a job offer and relatives in Manitoba? Do they process fast this year? Thank you.

I don't have any idea, who signed your MAS?

Re: MPNP General stream Employment reference Letter .. Kindly Help very urgent

Dear auie09.

Can u help me about the following??

1. I have more than 4 years of experience in sales and want to apply under general stream. Can I Apply ??

2. My Experience stands like

Employer A :-1 years 1 months
Employer B:- 6 Months
Employer C:- 3 Months
Employer D :- 7 Months
Employer E:- 1 year 5 Months
Employer F:- 9 Months

Total Experience:- 4 years & 5 Months

How many Points can I Claim For this Under General Stream??

2. I got the letters of reference from my employers indicating specific start and end dates and Designation But they did not mention the job responsibilities and duties on it and also denied to mention on letter. Can I submit the application with declaration of job duties and responsibilities from myself on the separate Attested Affidavit??

Your help would be highly appreciated..

Thanks

I have filed mine on March 15th for general stream but have not heard anything back yet.
May be the process is faster for Philippines than for India.

Hi auie09- - friend of mine signed my MAS

Hi mmclaro - as far as I know, we cannot make a follow up regarding our application. I think next week, you will receive your AOR since I am 2 days ahead of you.

just curious why did you decide to apply in mpnp when you are already in alberta ?thanks.

Hello Auie!

It's because My closest friend lives in manitoba, and id like to live and stay there.and its easier to be a permanent resident in manitoba, just with 2 close friends' MAS. I have chances to be nominated. I tried to take the qualifying test for FSW, but im short 3 points to 67 :( so, this is my only chance. ( crossing fingers) i hope and pray! also, Its hard to get nominated by an employer here in alberta, most companies here does not want to get thru with all thos PNP paper processing with CIC, for them its too much of a hassel.

Im already a worker here for 2 years. time is ticking for me. i wish hope and pray that I be nominated. for a better life!

I have a question tho, for the points in employment, would they count me being a custmoer service representative ? because I have 2 yrs 10 months as an HR personel, im just thinking that it could get me more points if they consider the other job i had.

thank you!

Hello Pinoy,

that is good-- i hope you get accepted as well. all i know is that you just need to get 4 years of work with 1 continuous employment for the points to be counted. please correct me if this wrong .

thanks.
thank you!

this is what is written on the MPNP eligibility criteria:

Factor 3: EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
The principal applicant's work experience points are based on the documented proof of work experience in the past 10 years. Include a letter of reference from a supervisor or personnel officer of the employer on company letterhead. It must give complete details about your position title, duties, salary, benefits and exact length of employment as well as information on how to contact that employer. You may also wish to include a current resume of your education and work experience. All translations must be notarized. Applicants whose only work experience in the past five years is related to an occupation on *MPNP Occupational Requirements List; must demonstrate that they meet the specific requirements for the occupation. Read the section Employment in Manitoba for details.
Years of Experience

Points
Six months (uninterrupted full-time employment) 2
Four points for each year of full-time employment to a maximum of four years (or 16 points) 4/year

Maximum = 16 points
Your Total
im just wondering what does the *MPNP Occupational Requirements List mean? or is it based with the federal governement ? or its just a list for Manitoba's indemand occupations to fill.

Hi pinoy16,

I have been contemplating to file my PNP in Manitoba. Based from my research, Manitoba is the easiest to apply than the other provinces.

Have been looking for work online for a year but up until now, unless you are in Canada, my application doesn't push through. I also don't have relatives in Manitoba. I do have second degree relatives in Ontario.

I'll be waiting until end of June because I've heard that the 29 in demand occupants might change.

Please do give feedback about your experience. It helps people like me to pursue our dream.

Thanks!

Hi Cabalen,

You don't need to have a relatives to apply as a PNP in Manitoba. If you have 2 friends who lives in Manitoba that are willing to give you Affidavit of support, you'll be fine. I applied without Job offer but based on my self assessment, I reached the sufficient points for consideration which is 55 points. I'm just taking my chance and hoping I will be nominated this time since I was denied when I applied as a FSW before.

Hi pinoy16,

Thanks for your input. I also don't have friends in Manitoba :(

I hope this time you will be approved. Let's keep our hopes and dreams. ;D

Hello Pinoy!

I dont have any AOR yet :( i applied for it april 1.... hoping for the best! by the way may I ask what was the reason for your FSW refusal?

Hi mmclaro,

I was denied from my previous application bacause I only got 64 points. I was short by 3 points maybe because I don't have relatives in Canada. My application was hand carried by my friend in Manitoba thats why they received it on the same day. I'm sure you will receive your AOR soon.
