Is anyone trying for admission in university in Guelph or any other universities

Have you researched the availability of public health jobs? It is a degree many consultants seem to recommend. Would do your research on job availability unless you are really passionate about public health.

Yes my consultant recommend me this course and I did a little bit of research of my own too . Public health is the most demanding profession in Canada. Do hive me your suggestion on this .

Ohh.. but what about the job prospects after MPH? Am a pharmacist by profession (pharmd) and wish to continue my studies in canada .

You can certainly try to get a public health job but there are usually too many candidates for all the jobs. There was a foreign-trained physician who did a masters in public health but couldn’t get a job so went to school to become a nurse practionner and got a job in Northern Ontario where many communities depend on NP because there aren’t enough GPs. Would also warn you that Canada has a surplus of pharmacists in most regions so salary have been decreasing for some time and finding a full-time job with benefits is much harder than it used to be. Consultants seem to recommend that every foreign dentist, doctor or pharmacist do a degree in public health. Getting a job is not impossible but most consultants say there is tons of demand which isn’t true either.

Thank you for the information. But sir I don't have much options to choose from . Its either MPH or pharmacology. Or else I would need to start considering diploma courses.

Just want you to be educated. Have you done any research about job availability in Canada other than listening to a consultant? Would encourage you to really spend a lot of time researching versus just listening to consultants. Did you do a lot of research about professionals needed in Canada, cost of living, lifestyle you can realistically expect, etc. before deciding immigration to Canada was the right option for you?
