has anyone gotten their MP involved, and had a letter drawn up to send along for the visitor visa application?
If so- what was the outcome?
did it make a difference ?
As this was the 2dn time applying and we added teh MP letter as letter of explanation to back us up

What kind of letter did you get from your MP? Why would you even send that with your application?

I got my MP involved since I wanted to get an update on my application. The response time was within a day for MP's office along with CIC.

why wouldnt I get my MP involved?
thats what they are there for..they work for the tax payers...
I sent it because I orginially got REFUSED for reasons which both me and her did not agree on.
The letter was strong and supported our invitation and basically backs us up about the person returning back to the home country.

All we asked for was a lousy 2 weeks in July....
I just wanted to know if anyone else had sent in a letter from their MP's office along with an application and what the outcome was.
Thanks!

I have a seen a few people rejected even if they included letter from MP, i once included letter from doctor and they refused it.

Its always worth a try.

MP's involvement is only to request update. MP can't help make CIC make (or change) their decision in any way, especially not for a TRV.

I 100% agree with landing_pr.

Visa is not given based on whether you agree or not.

You have to prove that you will satisfy all the conditions specified for visa.

Anyway good luck with your application
