Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello everybody,

I am a conventional refugee, and my case was accepted early last year, I am in the process to obtain PR status:

arrived to Canada(Quebec): Oct, 2011
case submitted: Nov, 2011
hearing and acceptance: Feb, 2013

CSQ of Quebec: April 2013,

PR process:
submitted: April 2013,
File opened: April 2013,
initial approval: 1 Nov 2013
medical exam: Dec 2013
medical exam received.

and waiting now for final decision and landing appointment.

my question is: I am planning to move to Alberta end of March, as I am member of order of engineers of Alberta APEGA
and I have better opportunities to find job there.

is there any problem concerning my PR process if I moved to Alberta, and if it going to delay the process. any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

i think u should wait and get ur PR card and then decide to move...reason...ur process is close to PR...thats why...my opinion...may be some one can give his opinion...

Thanks Gogia for your response, I have to find work and afraid this process takes so long, so anybody who has experience is very welcomed to give his opinion

change of address or change of city its not a problem . i would go for a better chances and better jobs and march is the best time to move on . snow almost gone .

If you move proir to gaining PR quebec may withdraw the CSQ if they find out.

The CSQ is the Quebec version of provincial nomination. If you are not in Quebec when you qualify for PR you may be "invited to withdraw" your PR request if you don't it may be refused out right as to gain the CSQ you have to state your intention to live and work in Quebec

Hello!
I have absolutely the same question... Also want to move from QC while my application as a protected person in process.
Could you please tell me what Ecas shows on your file? I have almost the same timelines like yours, but my ecas shows only:

We received your application for permanent residence on June xx, 2013.
We started processing your application on November xx, 2013.

Did they requested you to do medicals? Or u did it before request?

THanks!

For Mr. Preppy,

I already shared my e-case dates :)

submitted: April 2013,
File opened: April 2013,
initial approval: 1 Nov 2013

medical exam: Dec 2013

medical exam received.

For JGK,

thanks for your response, However, I don't remember that I mentioned my intention to live in Quebec during CSQ process,

all what happened is that when I did received my protected person status, I forwarded it to Immigration Quebec along with simple basic information form, and granted CSQ after 2 weeks. I have completed more than 2 years already in Quebec and almost one year after receiving CSQ.

I am now a little bit worried after reading your comment, because it could take one more year before landing and that too much time for me to stay without work while better opportunities waiting me in Alberta.

so please advise if you are sure of your information, or you know anybody had the same situation before.

Thanks

if you get married while your PR in process that might slow down your application process , if you get divorce while your PR in process that also will slow down your application process and if you moved also will slow down your process.
what else left could slow down the process?

Thanks Amoon for reply,

I would add: if you stay at your place will slow down application process.

I think now, it is better not to move until final decision.

have you ever call them ? try give them a call and ask them " in which step your file is "

my verdict do not move untill u get ur PR Card...

I am thinking now the same thing, I will wait.

For Amoon:

I have called them yesterday, and they told that everything is ok but they don't know how much time it will take.

They told me there is no problem in moving to other province, but I doubt that.

as most of you have suggested, it is better to stay until PR.
