Hello,

I am trying to move to CANADA on PR and my F1 status will be expiring soon. It would be great if I can get a check list to follow since I donot have more than 2 months. I am a single guy and its good that I have my job transfer in place. I have a US financed car with me and wanted to check on few things like, travel restrictions, Credit Transfer, driving licence, insurance, Car import, rental options, first 3 months insurance etc...any restrictions in luggage as I am planning to get few of my electric household appliances .

Appreciate your guidance.

PR is going take longer than 2 months. Checklists are with the application. Does your employer have LMIA if you are using points for a job offer?

Sorry If my question was not clear. I already have my PR in hand which will be expiring by Sept 31 2020. so my question goes back to things what I was concerned about. Please guide me. appreciate your help.

Let me rephase it:

Your US F1 status is expiring in 2 months and you are a Canadian PR (card expiring Sept 30, 2020). You are a single guy and a job transfer in place. You have a US financed car with me and wanted to check on few things like, travel restrictions, Credit Transfer, driving licence, insurance, Car import, rental options, first 3 months insurance etc...any restrictions in luggage as you are planning to get few of my electric household appliances .

My question to you is:

1) Do you meet your Canadian PR residency obligation?

In any case, you should be able to enter Canada. Read the CBSA website about the luggage restriction. Electric household appliances from US is allowed. Can't help you with the financed car. Hope someone can give an answer.

Still not clear to me. Do you have a COPR and you need to land by Sept 30, or have you already landed previously and are already a Canadian permanent resident?
