Moving to Canada from the UK

I work in the UK as an Aerospace Senior engineer, i have been attempting to get a work visa L1 for the USA but it has been challenging to say the least. Our sister site has a facility in Ontario. The company is American owned. They are offering me a management position. Currently in the UK, we have my single income to support myself, wife and two children under 5.

I am unfamiliar with Canadian work visa / permits. I have done some research but it doesn’t seem super clear. If I am requested to work in Canada and i accept. Can my wife and two healthy children under 5 come as dependents as well.

I have seen on line there is premium processing for the work permits or approx. 2 weeks but I do not know how accurate this is.


Any help would be great.

Your company will need to look into the ICT visa for intra company transfers. Processing can take as little as a few weeks but a few months also isn't unusual.

And yes your wife and Children can come with you.
