Moving the file to a different visa Office

Hi,

My PR has been sponsored by my husband. We filed my application at the Buffalo consulate on 3rd March but as we all know the closing of the Buffalo consulate has made the processing very slow. Our application is currently at the CPP-Ottawa. We received the approval for sponsorship on 25th June and our file is currently on the step 2 which says "Application Received"

Can we transfer our file to Delhi Visa office to process our step 2? Do we have to file a whole new application or they will take it up from step 2 as we already have approval for the sponsorship?

Unfortunately you cannot request your file to be transferred to a different visa office.

If you want to move your processing to a different office - you would have to withdraw your file and start again from scratch with a different VO indicated. Note that you'll have to go through the Mississauga processing step again this second time as well.
