Moving from Ontario to Quebec with Parents' Sponsorship in Process

Hi everyone,

I'm curious if anyone knows a case where a sponsor moved from Ontario to Quebec, while the parents' application was in process?

Are there any additional forms I'll need to submit?

Don‘t believe they can land in Quebec and will have to land in another province.

You will need to notify IRCC. You will then be required to go through the Quebec process to get a CSQ.

The application status is still "Application Received".

For the CSQ, will the parents need to know French?

No but it will add multiple months.

Depends on how far along in the process IRCC is. If they are still in the middle, it may not add any delay at all, as IRCC will continue to process their part while waiting on the CSQ. If IRCC is close to the end of processing the app, likely several months at least. You would need to have a look at the CSQ processing times.
