Hello, I’m planning to do my specialty training in Germany, and I’m also waiting to get a German passport. My plan is to move to Canada after I finish my specialty training. I’d like to know what the process would be like. Is it possible, or would it be a waste of time?

Are you a German citizen? How are you "moving" to Canada? What training? Are you fluent in French and English with post secondary and years of skilled experience? If not no chance.

Not yet. I’m planning to do my cardiology specialty training in Germany, and I want to work as a cardiologist in Canada afterward. I’m fluent in English but not French. I know I’ll need to go through an assessment/exam process as an internationally trained specialist, so that’s what I’m asking about! I just want to know how difficult the process is and whether my german training would be recognized?!!

You have to contact MCC about recognizing international credentials. One step would be taking MCCQE. Many IMEs never practice in Canada.
