Dear

Suppose

I land in Toronto and shuttle between Ontario and BC for my job search.

If i initially get OHIP after 3 months, stay for another 1 month and use some service but then move to BC for good and get their health card. The OHIP will cover me during the waiting period in BC.

Problem is, at the end of the year, I would have 4 months of stay in Ontario and 8 months in BC

So will OHIP ask me to pay for service I used when i was in Ontario ? case i havent been there for 6 months ?

Thanks

You wouldn't meet the residency requirement for OHIP. You need to be in Ontario for the first 5 of 6 months. You actually don't meet any of the residency requirement for OHIP. You should wait until you settle in one province before using healthcare services especially anything expensive. If you plan on settling in BC you should settle there originally.
