I completed my landing in July 2014, and am finally moving from US to Toronto, ON in a month (about 6 months before the drop-dead date of July 2017). I meant to check if folks on the forum had advice on -
- moving funds from my US bank accounts to Canada at this point - am I going to get taxed heavily?
- moving my vehicle from US to Canada - am I going to get taxed/dutied on this as well? Would it make sense to sell my car here (almost 100K miles), and buy one up north, or lease one there? Do Canadians lease cars much at all?
