Hello Guys,

When my mom was born way back in the Philippines the year 1956, She was named by her parents of

First Name: Angelita
Middle Name: Mariano
Last Name: Rivera

During that time they asked favor to relatives to go to town to have it registered in the Statistics office and when her birth certificate came out, it end up like this.

First Name: Maria
Second Name: Angela
Middle Name: Marian
Last Name: Rivera

Since it's not that strict before, she managed to used her right name that was named to her, everything on her document, social security, on the job with the company, she used Angelita Mariano Rivera and there's no problem on it ever since.

What she did is hiring an attorney to have it fixed, and now it is updated on the statistics office and approved by the law.
They never changed the birth certificate details, it's just a note at the bottom of the birth certificate that she had legally changed name.
She got her new passport stating the original name, Updated birth certificate.

Bottom line is, she used her original name that was given to her ever since, she used that name on all her documents and Government ID's. She never used the name on her birth certificate. Good thing now it is updated.

When applying a tourist visa to Canada, What documents she needs to provide if the VO ask for it? regarding on that wrong details on the birth certificate before.

Thank you

Since she has the updated birth certificate from NSO and also a passport with her original name, then there will be no problem in applying for a tourist visa.

Submit the necessary documents and requirements then it will fine. :)
