Most of the people are converting IELTS to CLB incorrectly

Hi guys,

I noticed that most of the people are converting IELTS score to CLB incorrectly.

See the below case:

L:9 R:7 S:6.5 W 6.5

Incorrect: Most of us are calculating this as
L: 9 (CLB 10+)
R: 7 (CLB 9)
S: 6.5 (CLB 8)
W: 6.5 (CLB 8)

Correct: All the 4 sections corresponds to one CLB score

In the above case it will be CLB 8 in total and all 4 sections we get points corresponding to CLB 8.

Each section has independent CLB score and the total language score is the summation. I cross checked with my EE profile.

I don't understand, we should put the IELTS score (7.7.6.6) or we should convert it to CLB

you are wrong here buddy. each language skill area has its own CLB level. it is clearly written in the CRS that we will access applicant based on CLB score on EACH language skill area. also my score reflects it when i created my EE profile.

W = 6 CLB 7 points 16
S = 7 CLB 9 points 29

what I understand that total my ielts is 96 ? Please correct if I am wrong.
