Mistakes in dates

Advisers,

in my Application i made the following mistakes

1- i forget to mention 16 days out of Canada, i was sent to the state for training and it is mentioned in the employment certificate

2- instead of mentioning 21-05 till 24-05 out of Canada i mentioned 08-05 till 10-05

as it has been couple of years ago i couldn't remember exactly the dates.

i wanna add that my physical presence in Canada is around 1000 days during the past 5 years

will the officer take that against me or they do understand that sometime applicant can make this kind of mistakes

i appreciate the feedback

You claimed time spent outside Canada to be inside Canada...?

I think they take this kind of things seriously and ask you explanation. But since you were in the US and they can track the US visits, it won't be a problem and I believe they might think it as a mistake and forgive you. But we never know, or they might think it as lying or misrepresentation and punish you really hard by stripping you out of your pr card and banning you from entire Americas. Hehe just kidding.

Well, what I suggest you is to write a letter explaining about the mistake before IRCC catches you. Send a cover letter highlighting the mistake and "updated absence form mentioning all absence from Canada" to 49 dorchester street, Nova Scotia. Don't forget to mention UCI and application number so that they could attach your updated absence forms and letter to your existing file...

thanks for the reply, so if I understood it well, as long as the passport stamps and entry-exit from other countries including US show that I have spent over 730 days they won't bother about the mistakes but if it is less than 730 it will raise question marks?

in my case, I was in Canada between May 8th and May 10th but if the application I mentioned I was outside of Canada, and the opposite was with May 21st till may 24th I was in the US but I said I was in Canada, I was just confused with dates,
