Hi all,
A bit of background:
I previously submitted my profile and received an iTA. I'm in a common law relationship with my girlfriend who is a Canadian citizen. When submitting my profile I selected that she would be coming to Canada with me (when we ideally move later this year/early next)
I've since learnt that this was wrong and I should have put that she will not be coming with me.
I sent a web form enquiry to IRCC asking if it was possible to change my profile. They responded with a stock answer which wasn't very useful. It basically said if my new CRS score is less than the minimum for my round that I should decline invitation.
I have a pretty good score of 550.
My question is:
Is it possible to change my profile now that I already have an ITA?
If not, would the best course of action be to decline invitation and reapply?
Are there any drawbacks to declining? (e.g. having to wait before reapplying, changes to form etc.)
Thanks for any help!
